Today marks the birth dates of two of pop music's grandest icons: Elvis Presley and David Bowie. Funny how things are, right? Seems the stars and planets aligned themselves on this particular day to produce two beings with such musical talents.

On that note, I wanted to make my small contribution to the one still living - Bowie - and recommend to you one of his albums that is often overlooked and undervalued. It's STATION TO STATION, as you might have guessed by now and it's also one of my very favorite albums by him. Somehow, his particular brand of White Soul Pop always sounded very... how should I put it, "right" and fine and funky, as well. Plus, it features some amazing songs, too: TVC 15, GOLDEN YEARS and his amazing rendition of the classic torch song, WILD IS THE WIND. How can you go wrong with this class of alignment, right?

But I'm going to leave you with the title track, the powerful 10 minutes plus album opener. Enjoy it and have a great year, y'all!
